They celebrate these 85 years with the incorporation of the fourth generation.
ORION was born in 1931 in Santa Coloma de Farners (Girona) by Josep Maria Vázquez. Since then the company has been producing socks & tights; an activity that they reinforced in 2013 with the purchase of Pocholo Socks (a brand with more than 150 years of history). Both companies are oriented to satisfy the demand of the market in this type of undergarment, both in classic models as in fantasies, sports, tights and in different ranges of colors, offering socks from newborns to large sizes. Always using high quality raw materials: cotton, wool, polyamide, modal, etc..
ORION is more focused on the manufacture of men’s and women’s socks, and POCHOLO instead focuses more on children’s and collegiate socks.
Over the years, in addition to its own product, the company has manufactured for leading brands, recognized designers and large distributors.
Technology, commitment and quality
In its more than 85 years of experience, ORION has continued to enhance the training of its employees, the quality of its products and the work well done. All this, with the well-deserved recognition of its customers, since many of them have been “buying ORION socks for several generations”, says the company’s management.
The company owns latest generation machinery and 8.500 m2 of facilities that manufactures and stores its products, in order to have a good “stock – service”. Faced with the situation that has forced to close many companies in its sector and the tendency to import product from other countries, ORION socks remains committed to national manufacturing, “with the philosophy of not stop producing and continue creating jobs”.
